Heart Burn (reflux)

Heartburn, also known as acid reflux, is a common condition that causes a burning sensation in the chest—often after eating or when lying down. It happens when stomach acid flows back up into the esophagus, irritating its lining. While occasional heartburn is normal, frequent or severe episodes can be uncomfortable and may indicate a more serious issue like GERD (gastroesophageal reflux disease).
